Never surrender !!! Never Give Up !!! (slow reminder)

So let's go back to 2011, the air is icy fresh and time is free to create a new version of enhanced slowness.

Hereby I would like to express all my true compassion to all human and nonhuman beings affected by the unspeakable disaster in Japan and
dedicate this blog to all of them.
Maybe we will find a better or even enhanced slowness in our live to re-design our tenet of "higher - faster - further"
(added Epilog on March, 2011)

A small re-design of this blog to pay tribute to an inner flame.
Coil - At the Heart fo it all (1981)
Have you not heard the unthinkable oblivion of death that awaits us all? Human existence is an accidental catastrophe that ends in silence. The beauty of Coil's music is how they enlist accident, chaos, and even silence in a symphonic conspiracy that exposes us to the gaping maw of the void

To me, fair friend, you never can be old,
For as you were when first your eye I ey'd,
Such seems your beauty still. Three winters cold,
Have from the forests shook three summers' pride,
Three beauteous springs to yellow autumn turned,
In process of the seasons have I seen,
Three April perfumes in three hot Junes burned,
Since first I saw you fresh, which yet are green.
Ah! yet doth beauty like a dial-hand,
Steal from his figure, and no pace perceived;
So your sweet hue, which methinks still doth stand,
Hath motion, and mine eye may be deceived:
For fear of which, hear this thou age unbred:
Ere you were born was beauty's summer dead.

So schön Du warst, als ich zuerst Dich fand,
Scheinst Du noch immer. Dreimal ward dem Wald
Das Sommerlaub entpflückt von Winters Hand;
Drei holde Lenze wandelte das Jahr
In gelben Herbst, der heiße Junimond
Versengte dreimal, was April gebar,
Drum Nachwelt höre dies: Eh’ Du geboren,
Fand Schönheit schon den Tod, der ihr geschworen.
William Shakespeare - Sonnet 104 (1599)

Peter Gabriel - Heroes, Just for One Day (2010)

Ryuichi Sakamoto- Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence

By this River is a song from Brian Eno's 1977 album "Before and After Science"

Here we are
Stuck by this river,
You and I
Underneath a sky that's ever falling down, down, down
Ever falling down.
Through the day
As if on an ocean
Waiting here,
Always failing to remember why we came, came, came:
I wonder why we came.
You talk to me
as if from a distance
And I reply
With impressions chosen from another time, time, time,
From another time.

This is my favorite interpretation of James Blake's "Lindisfarne 1 + 2" (2011) and I mixed it with David Sylvian's "Metal Gods" including the "globalwide-household-item-IKEA-wardrobe".
So please forgive me my instant combination.
Next time I'll take the vinyl copy, because the mp3 sounds terrible and reduces the quality of this great song.

Kestrels breed
Looking farther than I can see
Without talked to read
She'll take a shining to me
Beacon, don't fly too high.
Beacon, don't fly too high.
For all your time
Playful crawling rate
Worth it being cold?
Roofing for the lanes
A lesson lost again.
Lesson lost again.
Keep haunting the bus
With fees of favors gone
Cracks and sailors fast
And await the sun to show
Won't tomorrow come?
Won't tomorrow come.

This is... a comment by "ZenWolfDances" from YouTube on Laurie Anderson's  "O Superman" (1981)
This is... nothing else needs to be added.
"I was 14 when this song came out and back then we were all still scared of things like nuclear war. I never really understood the lyrics but the "feeling" was that some insanely calm, poetic robot voice would call you up to let you know that you were going to die, that the world was coming to an end ... "here come the planes"." ZenWolfDances 12/2010

Björk - "Human Behaviour" (1993)

If you ever get close to a human
And human behaviour
Be ready, be ready to get confused
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic
To human behaviour
But yet so, yet so irresistible
And there's no map
and a compass
wouldn't help at all
They're terribly moody
And human behaviour
Then all of a sudden turn happy
But, oh, to get involved in the exchange
Of human emotions
Is ever so, ever so satisfying
Oh oh, and there's no map
Human behaviour, human
Human, human behaviour, human
Human, human behaviour, human
Human behaviour, human
And there's no map
And a compass
Wouldn't help at all
Human behaviour, human, human
Human behaviour, human,
Human behaviour, human,
Human behaviour
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic
Human, human
Human behaviour
Human
There's definitely, definitely, definitely no logic
Human, human, human, human.

"The Electrician" is a track from the 1978 album "Night Flights" by The Walker Brothers.

Air - "Alone in Kyoto" from their 2004 album "Talkie Walkie"

Kid Loco - "She's my Lover"   triphoppers heart beats back in 2007 introducing the No 1 Indian impersonator of Elvis the Pelvis.

Bon Iver - "For Emma" (2008) It is ridiculous how captivating this song is.

[Narrator:]
"So apropos
Saw death on a sunny snow"
[Him:]
"For every life..."
[Her:]
"forego the parable."
[Him:]
"Seek the light."
[Her:]
"...my knees are cold."
Running home
Running home
Running home
Running home
[Her:]
"Go find another lover;
To bring a- to string along!"
"With all your lies,
You're still very lovable."
"I toured a light
So many foreign roads
For Emma, forever ago."

The Phoenix Foundation from New Zealand with "Buffalo" makes me WOhhhhhW , they hit me in a preadolescence mood including my Mother of Pearl. How could they know??? I LOVE YOU!!!

Wire is a post punk band from the late 70th, but still an unreached influence on progressive musical competitions. "Heartbeat" is hard to beat! Live 1979
In 1980 I had the chance to see them live as a pre-act of David Bowie in Düsseldorf/Germany, Don't forget to asked me to tell you about the reaction of the "Heroes" Bowie orientated audience.

Farewell
